The Responsible Travel Club of Vietnam (RTC) is a network of travel companies, accommodation providers, experts, and social organizations working together to promote sustainable tourism in Vietnam. RTC connects professionals across the industry to share responsible travel standards, organize practical training on environmental, cultural, and community livelihood issues, co-develop eco-friendly travel products, and spread inspiring stories of conservation.
With an open and collaborative spirit, RTC supports its members in reviewing supply chains, improving service quality according to international standards, and creating a platform for connection among partners, media, and policymakers. The goal of RTC is to help Vietnam’s destinations grow and prosper — without compromising natural resources, cultural heritage, or the well-being of local communities.
We connect tourism businesses with local communities to create sustainable value chains - ensuring transparent costs, fair benefits, and reduced environmental impact. Each partnership includes specific KPIs (such as green purchasing rate, percentage of local employment, waste reduction, etc.) that are monitored regularly to guarantee shared benefits and long-term growth.
Rooted in local experiences, we co-design “low-impact” tours and services with local residents: compact routes, qualified suppliers, and reusable materials. Each new product highlights cultural stories, accessibility, and safety — for both travelers and the surrounding ecosystem.
RTC’s training programs are tailored for three key groups: Tour guides (group management, cultural storytelling, first aid); Interning students (data collection, impact measurement, tour operation skills); Businesses (green procurement, workplace safety, and equality). Each course includes practical checklists for immediate application and progress reports to ensure continuous improvement.
