At this moment, the resident population of the 51 villages inside of the Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve are selecting different activities (beside tourism) which pretends to promote socioeconomic alternatives compatible with the biodiversity of this protected area, bringing out the improvement of the livelihood and the conservation of the environment in this high ecological place. It is estimated to invest around 31.000 euros in this first phase of the village development plans.
This is the result of a long process launched from the Ngoc Son Ngo Luong project to make51 village development plans bottom to up through the local people with the support of forest rangers ofForestProteciton Department of Hoa Binh and the FPSC staff in Vietnam.
